Every day it is more common to use electric scooters as a sustainable option to transport us, whether for recreational use, commuting or as a work tool. However, many times we don't know how much money it costs to charge an electric scooter and if it’s worth buying an electric scooter.
At the same time, we talk about e-scooters as sustainable transportation options because they don't generate polluting emissions, in addition to the low amount of electrical energy needed to charge the battery and their durability after a single charge.
Joyor models have a range that varies from 20-25 km for our
entry-level scooters to electric scooters that reach 100 km of range after a single charge, such as the
Y10 model.
But, What is the electric scooter charging cost?
In order to calculate it, it’s necessary to know the capacity of the battery and its voltage. With this information and taking our
F1 model as an example, we will demonstrate how much the energy cost would be:
F1 model: Battery capacity 7.8 Ah and Voltage 36V
The first thing to do is multiply the battery capacity in Ah by the voltage, and then divide it by 1000. This finally gives us the consumption in kWh, which for the Joyor F1 electric scooter would be 0.2808 kWh.
Once the calculation is done, you have to review the rate you have with your electricity company. According to Selectra (2023, January 13), the cost of a kilowatt hour (kWh) in Spain did not exceed €0.5 at its highest rate, so each charge of a Joyor F1 would cost less than €0.1!.
Below we leave you a table so that you can calculate the electricity consumption of a charge of a Joyor electric scooter.
